Pink Ember features a dedicated ceramics studio within its larger venue, providing a specialised space for artistic creation.

Learn or expand upon your pottery wheel skills, including throwing, trimming, and glazing to create mugs, bowls, and vases. By the end of the term, you'll have several ceramic pieces to keep.

Pink Ember Studio offers relaxed, friendly, and LGBTQI+ safe classes, with a maximum of eight participants per session.

  • This course is open to participants of all skill levels, from beginners to intermediates. While primarily for adults, individuals aged 16+ may attend if accompanied by a legal guardian also enrolled in the class.

YOUR TEACHER

Ariana Rodriguez (she/her) is a Peruvian visual artist living and working in Wurundjeri land in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia). Her art spans various disciplines, including filmmaking, photography, painting and ceramics. In 2020, she established Clay Spell, her brand and personal project. Through her work at Clay Spell she challenges societal norms and taboos surrounding the female body. Drawing upon personal experiences and her cultural upbringing, she explores themes of shame and guilt, inviting others to question established gender power structures.
