Drawing workshop w/ Tegan Iversen

A 2 hour drawing workshop led by artist, illustrator & curator Tegan Iversen.

In the workshop participants will be taught some drawing exercises, warm-ups & techniques & create beautiful art to take home. We will be drawing using fine liners & biros on paper; drawing fun objects (brought by Tegan) as well as from photographs.

We will also have nice chats & talk about art stuff such as tips from Tegan on how to apply for illustration work & art exhibitions. Also some tasty snacks will be provided.

A 2 hour zine-making workshop led by Freya Alexander & Tegan Iversen of F*EMS.

F*EMS is a Melbourne-run collective for female-aligned & non-binary people to creatively express themselves by contributing to our triannual zine. 
In this workshop participants will be taught how to make their very own zine from a single piece of A4 paper. We will teach some drawing exercises & warm-ups & you will create a beautiful zine or two (or three) to take home!

Body Positive Life Drawing w/ Frances Cannon

Life Drawing Workshop taught by Frances Cannon hosted at Pink Ember Studio.

This workshop is a total of four hours, taught over two Thursdays (JUNE 20th and JUNE 27th). 

In this workshop you will learn drawing techniques and proportions of the human form. Models will include both clothed and nude models.

Paper and art supplies are supplied. 

THIS IS A SAFE SPACE QUEER EVENT. If you show any disrespect to the models or other students you will be asked to leave.

Make a plush toy with Cat Rabbit! In this two day workshop she will teach you her soft sculpture process, using felt as a starting point. You will start with basic felt shapes and how 
to make them, how to work out and apply basic pattern templates and pattern making techniques, a slew of simple stitches, all the way through to the adding the fine details, and imbuing a little felt lump with your own charming character.

In this two hour class, Fashion graduate Aoife Billings and Fine Art graduate Aaron Billings will teach you the basics of stencil based screen printing for textiles.

You will design, and print your own artwork or pattern on fabric.

Come with ideas for your print, (images or drawings) to kick start the design process.

Aaron and Aoife have been teaching textile printing classes for 5 years through Signal Arts, RMIT, Bunjil Place and Incinerator gallery.
